I met a pretty thirty something female attorney at Cipriani’s and ask her about what she thinks of the dating scene in NYC. She said she hates dating adding that it’s a waste of time. She said she liked being in a relationship most of the time. I asked “How does one get into a relationship without dating?” She said when she meets a guy she really likes (which is not that often) and they hit it off immediately, she’ll sleep with him that night. I asked “Aren’t you afraid of them turning into 1 night stands?” She said “No” it’s counter intuitive but the last 5 times she’s done it, it’s ended up in 3 month to 2 year relationships. So most of the time she’s in a relationship with a hot guy instead of dating around playing games with multiple ambivalent losers. So let me ask you. Do you think this is a great strategy for women who want to be in long term relationships?
